Prairie Charms | Project Blogger

I was contacted by Prairie Charms, asking whether I would be interested in taking part in “Project Blogger“, a collaboration with beauty and fashion bloggers. This collaboration is somewhat different from the others, since I didn’t get my bracelets for free, I got a 50% discount. I really liked this, because 10 % of the price goes to the Great Ormond Hospital Charity, ‘Kiss it Better’ campaign. Prairie Charms bracelets are so cute and all of the mare handmade. MANGO fashion haul

Last thursday opened a new MANGO store in our city. Here are some things I bought there.

Didn’t buy that much, only four pieces.

DIY Circle Scarf

Today I want to show you one of my favorite DIY: knitting a circle scarf completely without needles – only using your fingers.

That may sound a little bit weird, but you’ll see that it’s a lot of fun and really easy to do.

Everything you need is some wool. How much you need depends on the length and width you want for your scarf.

Step 1:

Take the end of the yarn and put it around your hand like that:

One around your thumb and your index finger, behind the middle finger to your ring finger.

put the wool yarn around the fingers that are still left free

Step 2:

Lay the yarn over your fingers

Now the “finger knitting” is about to start.

Pull the loop that is around your index finger over the loose yarn. Pull it over your finger until it looks like that:

Go on like that with the other fingers as well:

Step 3

Lay the yarn over your fingers again like before. Now you simply go on with the “knitting”: pulling the loops ore the loose yarn – just in the other direction.

(Number 8 is only to check if did everything right)

If you go on like this, repeating the steps 2 and 3, your scarf will be growing in length on the back of your hand.

You did everything right if the pattern looks like that:

A little hint for those who want their scarf to be wider:

Tinker something like that out of things you have at home. I used some cardboard, tape and some lipsticks:

Important: the lipsticks (or whatever you may use) should at least be as thick as a finger. Otherwise it would be too difficult to pull the loops over the loose yarn.

The knitting with this little tool is like I showed you above – no difference.

As soon as you feel your scarf is long enough, all you need to do is sewing the ends together – and there it is: your self-made circle scarf!

new in: spring / fall wedges

Did some shopping a couple of days ago. Fell in love with those wedges ♥ Those following me on Twitter (@LadyCheana) know that I’ve been searching for shoes like that for a long time.

I found them in a TK Maxx store btw.

The brown leather is so soft and the wedges are really comfy! Thanks to my mum for bying me those shoes! <3

Can’t wait to wear them :)
